Large Integrator With Lagoon Issues Resolved | Healthy Farms

We were contacted by a large integrator who had had considerable issues with solids in their sow lagoons. They could barely make a year for capacity, and if there was heavy rain, they had to apply manure when it wasn’t needed or had a high chance of leaching.

We developed a custom plan for them. The plan was for them to use Lagoon AgraSpheres at 150% label rate the first year, and continued with normal label rate the second and third year.

Using mapping technology to read depth, we saw a major reduction in solids, ranging from 13” of solids, to 47” reduction in solids over three years. They no longer had to misapply manure and give it away, but could instead sell the manure, since they had enough capacity to not be in fear of overflowing.

Below is are two different reading of the same lagoon 3 years apart.
